Starring well known Peruvian actors Carlos Tuccio and César Ritter, the production opened in Lima in February, 2010 at the ICPNA – Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano, with the participation of the American embassy in Peru.

“Visitando al Sr. Green es, en fin, una emocionante obra y un muy eficaz montaje, un espectáculo de asistencia obligatoria para quienes disfrutan de un teatro de pensamientos y sensaciones fuertes, con personajes nítidos y una historia interesante y reveladora que atañe importantes y muy vigentes dilemas humanos. Es un éxito artístico memorable.”

ROSS: Did you eat today?
MR. GREEN: I’m eating now.
ROSS: I see that. It looks like you’re enjoying it.
MR. GREEN: Yetta prepared it better.
ROSS: That was your wife?
MR. GREEN: Yetta made a soup… That was a soup!
ROSS: How long ago did she pass away?
MR. GREEN: And when Yetta made a chicken… it would melt in your mouth.
ROSS: Ms. Fanelli said it was recently, but I don’t know exactly when.
MR. GREEN: And every Friday night, to celebrate Shabbos, a lemon meringue pie.
ROSS: Every week?
MR. GREEN: A lemon meringue pie.
ROSS: She never surprised him with…an apple pie?
MR. GREEN: For Shabbos, we had a lemon meringue pie!
ROSS: Okay, okay.

Author Jeff Baron worked closely with the team, and during his time in Lima, gave a master class in writing, talked to a school group and conducted a press conference in Spanish.
